چکیده
Objective: To genotypically assess the relationship between certain resistance and virulence determinants.Method: The cross-sectional study was conducted at Kafrelsheikh University, Egypt, from March 2019 to May 2021, comprised pathological samples, like blood, sputum, urine, vaginal swabs wound swabs, that had been taken patients who never received treatment. sample were collected Mansoura University hospitals, Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates obtained. Resistance determinants tested phenotypically. Uniplex polymerase chain reaction used evaluate presence of several resistanceaccompanied genes in isolates. Disc diffusion method isolates’ susceptibility accordance with Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute criteria for identifying diverseresistance patterns. Results: There 23 16 patients. Of isolates, 22(95.65%) showed drug resistance; 19(82.6%) multidrug resistance, 3(13.04%) extensive resistance. no case pan CTX-M-15, NDM, CTX-M-1, VIM-1 qnr B detected 14(60.86%), 13(56.5%), 6(26.08%), 6(26.08%) respectively. Moreover, exhibited extended-spectrum beta-lactamase producers, 12(52.17%) such contained both CTX-M-1 CTX-M-15 genes, 6 33.3% CTXM- 15 fox genes. Type 3 fimbriae adhesin mrkD mucoviscosity regulatory gene uge found testedisolates. However, iron uptake system kfu 8(34.78%) increased serum survival protein is accompanied magA A direct correlation among 5 8 antimicrobial genes. Conclusion: a existence factors antimicrobials. Keywords: Lactamase, pneumoniae, Anti-bacterial, Virulence, Bacterial, Genes.

High prevalence of Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase-mediated resistance in K. pneumoniae isolates from Egypt.
The emergence and rapid spread of antibiotic-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates harbouring the blaKPC gene that encodes for carbapenemase production have complicated the management of patient infections. This study in a tertiary care hospital in Egypt used real-time PCR assay to test ertapenem-nonsusceptible isolates of K. pneumoniae for the presence of the blaKPC gene and compared the re...
متن کاملAntimicrobial resistance of Klebsiella pneumoniae stool isolates circulating in Kenya
We sought to determine the genetic and phenotypic antimicrobial resistance (AMR) profiles of commensal Klebsiella spp. circulating in Kenya by testing human stool isolates of 87 K. pneumoniae and three K. oxytoca collected at eight locations. Over one-third of the isolates were resistant to ≥3 categories of antimicrobials and were considered multidrug-resistant (MDR). We then compared the resis...
